My lot disappeared?
Strangel:
Hey.. I was working on a lot back in January, quit working on it for a while, and thought I'd start in on it again this week. Boot up the 'hood, no lot.
I've tried everything I can think of, haven't added any new expansions since starting on it aside from the Celebrations extras, and I pulled all my folders out beforehand, then placed them back in. When I open my Lots folder for that neighborhood, it SAYS there's one, but when I have the 'hood open (haven't added any subs or anything, just the main 'hood) it shows nothing in the lot catalog and nothing on the map. Am I doomed? Is all that work lost for good?

There's nothing in your pic at all. Has everything gone or was your new lot the only one in the 'hood? There isn't a graphics option that hides houses is there?
If you move the mouse around over the place where the lot should be, do you get any dialogue box? If so, get into any lot you can, edit something, save and exit to hood screen. The 'hood screen might have sorted itself out. There's a podium thread about 'hood screens that wouldn't load - several of us got black flashing 'hood screens where something was stopping the screen displaying properly - lack of memory?. trees?.
Don't suppose you've got a package file of an older version of the house somewhere have you?
Emma:
Is it a normal residential lot? Try changing the file assosiation from the simpe one back to 'package'.
Copy and paste the file to the lot catalog manually, changing the number at the end to the next one along ie: if your last lot name is cx_00000101.package, change the name to cx_00000102.package. Open your game to see if it is in the lot catalog. If it isn't there-then I dunno what you can do. :-\
ps-I like your neighbourhood terrain-did you make it yourself?
Strangel:
Nope, don't know how to make terrains. -grins- I'll get you the name and edit it in here, or reply with the name next time I open my terrain folder, Emma!
Nothing was showing up when I waved the cursor around, and it was the only lot I had in the catalog at the time, hence the screenshot, to show it was IN the folder, but no lot shows on the terrain or the bin. Emma's changing of the package name fixed it at least long enough for me to package a copy so woohoo, didn't lose the IK castle!
Thanks, you two!
Emma:
Oh good ;D Glad you could get it saved.
