Tchan:
LOL!
You have a very, very, very good point, Pescado. That's the first time I've heard you say something that sounds normal, too!

In the span of this entire thread you people have managed to insult my mother and quite a few of my friends and/or acquaintances.  All of whom are otherwise intelligent people.

So, fuck the whole lot of you.  :P

Trepie, as a representative from the glorious south, I share your sentiment, but I have to take issue with your wording. The correct phrasing, I believe, is, "Fuck all ya'll.".

On the names issue, if someone didn't mention it already, it used to be popular to somehow use the father or mother's name for children. In my Womrat Bottoms neighborhood, I have the Trashe' family. Father's name is Reggie Bob, mother is Lurlene, so the kids are Reggietta, Lurl Bob, Bobene, etc.
Some from my family tree(and it is forked): Gurline and Pearline(twins), Lounette, Iva Levada, Viuada(pronounced Vi-u-da) and my favorite, Francis Arabella Martha Marinda Lucinda Clementine. The last one was given because the family didn't want to hurt anyone's feelings, so they used every family member's name suggestion.

Had to modify-I meant to mention to Ellatrue that my great-grandmother's name was Ella(they ruined it by calling her "Eller"), and it's my sister's middle name.

Tchan:
My middle name's Eleanor and I have been called Ella before, lol ;)

The best case of twin naming I have ever encountered was Elizabeth and Lizabeth. They were both young kids in an American school and their yearbook only mentioned one of them, thinking that the second was the same one. Poor kid.
And also, Amelia, whose daughters were Ame and Lia.

lol, poor Francis. She got a boy's name instead of a girl's name. The female form of Francis is Frances. ^^ Though, admittedly, Arabella, Lucinda and Clementine are beautiful names.

Individually, yes. String them all together and they're a good title for a children's book, but tough to walk through life with.

morriganrant:
I too am in the south, I had forgotten all about parental naming, which is funny, because I am named after my father, Christopher. My mother and her two half sisters are named after her father, his name is Joesph, they are Joanna, Jonelle, and Jody.
