They shouldn't. I don't see anything which would compel them to do so. There's only one grail, anyway, so they can't choose poorly. Too bad. No Emma torture opportunities there.

Does the grail have a chance of backfiring if your sim is in low aspiration? As in triggers the next transition. That'd be a cool new way to kill off elders.
