so really there isnt much different between having a beach lot and a normal lot... apart from waves... grr. good ol EAixs! well all good now... i moved the house up higher.
Well, even on a residential beach lot the sims can go swimming in the ocean, and scavenge for seashells, and build sandcastles. But otherwise, they're normal residential lots.

Residential beach lots are fun - especially if you have a sim stuipd enough to permanently sunbathe during winter. The effect on the skin is beyond comparison :D.

Yeah, apart from the fact that you pretty much have to build your own houses on them since beach lots are not easily transferable between 'hoods unless the terrain in both hoods is perfectly flat.

Somehow this doesn't really seem to be a big problem for me ;) Ugh, I need to have a sim move to the beach, and pronto. I haven't played a beach lot since I started up the Ridges.
