editing default careers?
sleazy:
i can not find anything whatsoever to show me how to edit the default careers for my game. i don't want to add careers i just want to change the ones that came with game. sooo...can anyone help me out here?
Tigerlilley:
I have no idea.
But there are heaps of tutorials here, about how to edit custom careers so surely the same rules would apply to edit default ones?
I dunno.
Gwill:
That's very easy. Just clone the career and make the changes you want. Use any career making tutorial and just skip the step where you'd normally change GUID.
sleazy:
im still confused. bascially all i want to do is make all of my carreers pay 10x more a day.
jolrei:
Good lord! Why? Admittedly in the first 3 days of a sim's career, they don't make much money, but after 1 generation the blighters are rolling in more clams than they could ever possibly use. If they work on skilling and have more than one friend they usually get promoted up to a semi-lucrative level pretty fast. After a while, the trick is not "where am I gonna get money for them?", but "why are these bloody rich sims so damn boring?" If they need more money, have them dig for treasure in the back yard (if you have BV). It's worth more than most (if not all) of the careers.
Anyhows, to clone and adjust careers, you will need SimPE (if you have BV you'll need the QA version - there's a thread around with a linky for downloading that).
