I never thought that it might be a video card or driver issue. Never heard of this before. Might need to check this out.
Eh, well, generally when it's a graphics card problem you have long bars or holes on the sims. Kind of like what happens when the objects file goes corrupt. Or, at least, changing drivers is what solved the weird clothing problem for someone on LJ recently. Whenever I've had the problem is was caused by one of those meshes you mentioned or the objects.package but apparently the graphics card is worth mentioning.

Yeah these aren't downloaded clothes...
These are Maxis meshes. Those aren't recolors of their clothes either, those are the ones that came with the game.
I'll try what you said, Morriganrant...rolling back the drivers.
Thanks.
jolrei:
I've only ever had this happen with cc meshes, and then the problem was that the meshes either were corrupt or did not play nice with some aspect of my game or my rig. Is it possible that a corrupt cc mesh might affect maxis clothing, or do you have any recently downloaded clothing related hacks? (in case rolling back the drivers doesn't work)
morriganrant:
Jorei is quite right, you should pull your CC out and see if it changes, if the driver thing doesn't work.
Then if it is neither of those then the culprit will be corrupt objects.package(s).
Gwill:
I don't think it will be the objects.package. Those are clothes from various EPs and SPs, unless all the game files are corrupted that shouldn't happen.
I think it's a driver issue.
