RaM? Can somebody help me.
Andygal:
OK so my dad and I want to see if I can buy some RAM and give him one of my old chips, but I don't know what typoe of RaM I have, any way to find out without dismantling the computer? Thanks. i know this isn't directly sims related but it sort of is because I want to be able to play sims better.

It should be in your computer manual, either in the front where it describes the computer or in the back in the technical specifications.
Motoki:
Also if you lost the manual you can usually get one online in PDF format either from the maker of your computer or the maker of your motherboard so if you know the model name or number of either, you should be able to find the manufacturer's website and then go from there. Usually the site will have a quick run down of the specs for the computer or motherboard too.
If you're still having trouble, let us know the name of either the computer model or the motherboard and I'll see if I can help hunt down the info. You have to make sure you get the right type of RAM because otherwise it won't fit the slot.

If you have a brand name computer (like Dell Dimension) you can look it up online at www.crucial.com
If your computer was built by hand, you will need to know what motherboard you have (it should be in the documentation you got with it). Incidently, they have really good quality RAM.
